VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) needs your help in making the magic of Christmas come alive during this year’s Polar Express train ride.

Volunteer positions include leader, assistant or Santa. Volunteers can expect to spend approximately 1.5 to 5 hours each night on the train, depending on their position.

Training is required for all positions. Santa trainings will take place on Oct. 7 and Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. and Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.

Training session for all other positions will take place on Oct. 5, 7, 14, 19 and 26 at 7 p.m. Training sessions are held at Fitzwater Trainyard, located at 7600 Canal Road in Valley View.

Volunteers who reach 20 hours of volunteer time will receive early access to tickets for the Polar Express train ride 2021.
