CINCINNATI — It’s Mother’s Day and it seems that humans aren’t the only ones celebrating the holiday, even hippos celebrate their moms.

On Sunday, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden shared a video of Fiona, the zoo’s beloved prematurely born hippopotamus, kissing her mom Bibi on Mother’s Day.

The video has already been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

Fiona the hippo made her claim to fame after surviving being born six weeks early at the low weight of 29 pounds.

The world-famous hippo has a very good relationship with her mother Bibi. Zookeepers have said that Bibi is a great mother and mentor to Fiona, teaching her the skills she needs to be a hippo while nurturing her at the same time.

It’s good to see moms of all species receiving love on Mother’s Day!
