Known for dishing out sandwiches that requires two hands, a lot of napkins and a doggy bag, Melt Bar and Grilled in Lakewood won't be feeding hungry customers for the time being because of a much-needed renovation project, the restaurant's owners tell Cleveland Scene.
Melt's flagship location at 14718 Detroit Ave., will close on April 1 for a 26-day renovation project. It will reopen for business on Friday, April 27.
It's been 12 years since the restaurant opened its doors to the public, and since then the regional chain has put its popular sandwiches in the hands of loyal customers at 10 locations across Ohio. The rapid rate of expansion, unforeseen by its owners, is one of the reasons management shied away from a much-needed renovation, Scene reports.
