Firefighters in Brook Park were able to save family pets from a house fire on Tuesday.

At around 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, firefighters responded to a fire that broke out in the basement of a family home. All residents of the house were able to make it out without injury, and crews entered the house to extinguish the fire and retrieve the family’s pets.

Firefighters were able to save all of the family dogs, one of which received oxygen treatments on the scene. Unfortunately, crews were unable to save two cats from the burning house.

No firefighters were injured in the incident.
