CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Department of Public Health (CDPH) was notified Tuesday of 28 new positive COVID-19 tests in Cleveland residents, bringing the total confirmed cases in the city to 475.
The city reported five new deaths from the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 18.
The new cases include both males and females with ages ranging from less than one year old to their 90's.
CDPH is working to identify any close contacts of these residents who would require testing or monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19.
As of Tuesday, there are more than 13,250 confirmed cases and 538 fatalities in the State of Ohio. There are more than 820,000 confirmed cases and 44,000 deaths in the United States.

City employees in the Department of Public Works and Public Utilities will now have their temperature checked every morning before their shift.
