COVID-19 in Ohio: New cases remain below 21-day average, but new deaths increase Monday

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Health reported 471 new COVID-19 cases and 51 new deaths Monday, bringing the totals to 35,984 total cases in Ohio and 2,206 total deaths.

The number of new cases reported Monday is below the 21-day average of new daily cases, which is 534.

The number of deaths reported Monday is 11 higher than the 21-day average of 40 deaths per day.

In Cuyahoga County, the number of new daily cases declined from 75 Sunday to 64 Monday.

Data on the number of Ohioans who have been tested for coronavirus was not posted to the state’s website Monday, however, as the governor stated last week, there is now a map showing pharmacies and community health centers offering COVID-19 tests.

The City of Cleveland reported 20 new cases, bringing their total to 1,612. They reported three new fatalities.
