First coronavirus death in Ohio confirmed; positive cases up to 169

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Health has reported the first coronavirus-related death Friday — a patient in Lucas County. The total number of positive cases in the state rose to 169, an increase of 50 over Thursday.

The illness is now being reported in 28 Ohio counties, and there are 39 hospitalizations in connection with COVID-19.

Cuyahoga County remains the county with the highest number of cases, now with 69.
