Ohio reports 28,454 coronavirus cases, 1,657 deaths

Coronavirus cases in Ohio have plateaued, according to statistics released Monday. Last weekend marked the first weekend since many Ohio businesses, including retail establishments, bars and restaurants, were allowed to reopen, with new requirements and guidelines.

Cases in the state continue to teeter-totter around the 500 mark.

The state reported 531 new cases on Monday, after reporting 449 on Sunday.

The state's 21-day average for new cases is 578, which is higher than what was reported on Monday.

Coronavirus deaths and hospitalizations were reported below average on Monday.

The state reported 32 deaths and 77 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours.

The average amount of deaths in the past 21 days has been 43, with an average of 84 hospitalizations.

In Cuyahoga County, 89 new cases were reported on Monday.

Cleveland reported 33 new cases and two deaths on Monday, bringing their total number of cases to 1,200 and 43 fatalities.
