21-year-old man hospitalized in critical condition after crash in Stark County

STARK COUNTY, Ohio — State troopers are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a driver in critical condition in Stark County, according to a release from the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

State troopers responded at around 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday on Hill Church Street, just west of Lotz Avenue in Osnaburg Township, located in Stark County.

A 21-year-old driver from North Cambria, Pennsylvania, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the westbound lanes of Hill Church Street when he lost control of the motorcycle while making a turn and drove off the left side of the road.

The motorcycle flipped over in the field, ejecting the man.

Troopers said he received life-threatening injuries from the crash. He’s currently in critical contain at the hospital.

He was not wearing a helmet and did not have a motorcycle endorsement, troopers said.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
