CANTON, Ohio — A 13-year-old boy accused of killing 14-year-old girl Sylvia McGhee might face time in adult prison, according to News 5's media partners at the Canton Repository.
The juvenile division of the Stark County Prosecutor's Office has field a notice of intent to seek "serious youthful offender" designation to the case.
If the boy is convicted, he could receive a sentence combing his time in youth prison followed by a full term in adult prison.
Sylvia's body was found near 11th Street Southwest and Bieyl Court Southwest on March 30. She was shot in the back of the head. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
