CANTON, Ohio — Two people were shot in a drive-by shooting on Newton Avenue N.W. in Canton Wednesday morning.
Officers responded shortly after midnight to the 700 block of Newton Avenue N.W. to investigate a report of a shooting.
Two people were found on the ground with several apparent gunshot wounds, police said.
Detectives believe the alleged shooters were inside a passing vehicle when they fired shots at the two victims, a nearby parked car and a residence on Newton Avenue N.W.
The victim’s conditions are unknown at this time. The vehicle involved in the drive-by shooting is believed to be a light-colored minivan.
