AKRON, Ohio — Akron Police are investigating after a 29-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking on I-77 northbound this morning.
The collision happened at 5:30 a.m. in the left lane of I-77 northbound near Vernon Odom Boulevard.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity has not been released.
It is unknown why she was walking on the interstate.
