PARIS TOWNSHIP — The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 38-year-old man died in an ATV crash in Paris Township Saturday night.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 1400 block of Parks Avenue Southeast in response to a fatal crash.
Deputies said upon their arrival, they found Anthony E. Rhoads, 38, of East Canton, dead from the crash.
The ATV was operated on private property by Rhoads when it rolled over an embankment, ejecting him. Investigators said it is believed that alcohol was a factor in the crash. Helmets were not used, deputies said.
His passenger, a 38-year-old woman from East Canton, was treated for minor non-life threatening injuries.
