AKRON, Ohio — A 43-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Akron, according to police.
Officers responded at around 7:40 a.m. to the area of Buchtel Avenue and Chapel Drive for a report of a man down.
Police found the 43-year-old man, later identified as Brian Powers, unresponsive and with apparent gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
