Imagine it's a beautiful day outside and you're out in the nice weather just mowing the grass when an unknown person comes up and robs you at gunpoint. That's what happened to a 60-year-old man from Tallmadge who was mowing a lawn in Akron on Monday night.
According to Akron police, the victim was cutting the grass at a residence on the 800 block of Cree Avenue when a man walked up to him from behind and demanded his money. The 60-year-old man was injured in a scuffle with the suspect, who, according to police, hit him on the top of the head with a pistol several times before running away.
The robber is described as a 30 to 40-year-old black male who stands about 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans during the incident, according to police.
