COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Nine people were evacuated from a home in Coventry Township after a meth lab exploded in a garage on Friday, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects, identified as Jennifer A. Hanam, 35, of Coventry, and Cliff J. Cundiff, 36, of Coventry, are charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for manufacture of drugs.

On Aug. 14, deputies responded at around 6 a.m. to a home on South Main Street for a report of an explosion in a garage.

Nine people were evacuated from the residence. Firefighters from the Coventry Fire Department extinguished the fire in an attached single-car garage.

Investigators determined that two residents were allegedly manufacturing methamphetamines in the garage.

Deputies said no injuries were reported and additional charges are pending.
