A 10-year-old student in Akron told police she was assaulted by her teacher last week.
The girl is a student at Judith A. Resnik Community Learning Center Elementary School. She said her teacher grabbed her arm and pushed her out of the classroom into the hallway last Tuesday, according to Akron police. She reported the incident on Thursday.
Akron City Schools provided the following comment on the incident:
Akron Public Schools is aware of the allegation and is investigating.
The teacher continues to teach at the school at this time.
