Akron man charged for robbery after arranging THC cartridge sale on Snapchat

AKRON, Ohio — An Akron resident is accused of robbing a man he made arrangements with on Snapchat to sell a THC cartridge to earlier this week.

Gordon Brooks Jr., 19, is charged with aggravated robbery, according to the Akron Police Department.

The robbery happened Nov. 11 in the 700 block of Mineola Avenue.

Authorities said that the victim and Brooks made arrangements on Snapchat to meet up so the victim could buy the cartridge.

When the victim arrived at the meeting place, Brooks allegedly pulled out a gun and took the victim's cell phone.

Brooks is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
