An Akron man died in the street after he was shot in an apartment, police reported.
The 47-year-old man got into an argument at a West Long Street apartment with another man and was shot, police said.
He ran outside and collapsed in the street, police said, and was taken to Akron General Medical Center, where he died.
Darien Raymell Mingo, 22, of Fairlawn, said he was in the apartment and fired shots during an argument, police said. He would not tell police where the gun he shot is located and did not make an official statement to police.
He was arrested for tampering with evidence and booked in Summit County Jail.
