Akron police and fire went to 1273 Weathervane Lane on Thursday for a potential body found in the water, but there was nothing recovered but a trash bag.
Police said the possible body found was near where 27-year-old La-Ron Harris went missing in February after driving his car into the Cuyahoga River.
Akron Fire said their dive team, along with assistance from Cuyahoga Falls, New Franklin and Macedonia, responded to a report of an article of clothing in the river.
Officials said there was not a body recovered. The only thing located was trash in a trash bag.
Harris' family and friends searched the area around the river where Harris' car was found.
His mother, Janice Harris, said they searched for hours. She pled for help.
A private investigator hired by Harris' family said the man's cell phone pinged in Cleveland, Rocky River.
