AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man is facing several charges after he entered a Subway while allegedly intoxicated and belligerent, then walked behind the counter and made his own sandwich, according to a police report.

A 44-year-old was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct intoxicated annoy or alarm, open container and criminal damaging.

On Saturday, officers responded at around 12:45 p.m. to Subway, located in the 1000 block of Kenmore Blvd, for an intoxicated man inside.

Employees pointed out the man to officers on scene. Employees told police that he entered the store and demanded they make his food. He then began damaging the plexiglass inside.

The man then walked behind the counter and began making his own sandwich, the report stated.

At the time of the arrest, officers found a bottle of Vodka and a block of Subway cheese in his pocket. He was taken to Summit County Jail where he remains in custody.
