Akron police investigating burglaries at liquor store, drive-thru

AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating two burglaries that occurred early Monday morning.

The first incident occurred around 1:55 a.m. at One Stop Liquor, a liquor store in the 1400 block of South Arlington Street. Once on scene, officers found the front door and gate to the business damaged and an unknown amount of money and property stolen, police said.

The second incident occurred around 2:36 a.m. at Ciggy’s Drive Thru, a drive-thru in the 1000 block of Kenmore Boulevard. Once on scene, officers found the front door to the business damaged and again, an unknown amount of money and property stolen, according to police.

Police have not identified suspects in either incident and are working to learn if the two burglaries are related.

Both burglaries remain under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the two incidents should call police immediately.
