Police are looking for a 24-year-old man who they say is the suspect wanted for allegedly shooting another man in the head over the weekend in Akron.

The suspect has been identified as Shaquille L. Jones, of Nesbitt Avenue, Akron.

According to authorities, Jones shot an 18-year-old man around 10:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Orrin Street. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital by a family member.

Jones is also believed to have been involved in another incident on Saturday where he pointed a gun at a woman, authorities said.

In that situation, two women were arguing over Jones when he brandished a firearm and threatened one of the women. The victim dropped her phone and shoes on the ground and ran off. The second woman grabbed the other woman's items and walked off.

Anyone with information about Jones' whereabouts is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-866-4-Wanted or Akron detectives at 330-375-2490.
