Arson investigators were called to two fully-involved Akron house fires Saturday night.
One fire on Marks Avenue had flames hitting the house next to it, according to the Akron Fire Department. The first firefighters on scene reported electrical wires were down and live around the heavy fire. Edison was called to handle the wires. The fire was under control at 10 p.m. Authorities have not released any reports of injuries.
About six miles away, police were the first to arrive on scene at a fire on Flora Avenue and reported flames 20 feet high. Wires were also down and live at this location, and Edison was called. No one was reported to be inside the house. The fire was under control at 10 p.m.
While arson investigators were called to the scene, neither incident has been ruled arson at this time.
