AKRON, Ohio — Beat the heat this weekend with free admission to the Akron Art Museum starting on Friday through Sunday.
There will be no charge for Summit County residents who bring in a valid I.D.
"Our spaces are not only air-conditioned, but will offer people a mental respite from the stress of this weather," said Seema Rao, senior experience officer of the Akron Art Museum.
The museum showcases art created since 1850 inside a state-of-the-art facility. Over 5,000 works of art, with a strong focus on contemporary painting, sculpture and photography are on display.
