Police have given the all clear after bomb threats evacuated multiple businesses in Canton--including the police department.
Canton police say they received a call around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in which the caller indicated that bombs had been placed at three local businesses including the Wal-Mart on Tuscarawas Street W, the Circle K on Mahoning Road NE and the Canton police department.
Police called the Wal-Mart and Circle K and asked customers to leave the stores.
Canton police K9s searched the businesses but did not find anything suspicious.
newsnet5.com also received several emails from viewers who noticed a large police activity at the Target store on Dressler Road in North Canton. A Target employee said that store also received a bomb threat and was evacuated for some time, but reopened after a couple of hours.
Police say they will work with the FBI to determine who is responsible.
