A man died Tuesday morning after a fire broke out at an Akron home on the city's west side.
According to the Akron Fire Department, crews responded to a house on fire on the 970 block of Beechwood Drive around 9 a.m.
Authorities said a father and son — both adults — were inside the house when the fire started.
The coroner's office was called to the scene for one victim, later said to be the father.
The victim was later identified as 82-year-old Ben Gulley.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
