No injuries were reported Thursday from a fire that was put out at a McDonald's on West Market Street, according to the Akron Fire Department.
Akron Fire units said smoke was seen from the outside of the building when they arrived at the scene. The fire in the kitchen was extinguished.
Officials said the Akron Communication Center contacted the Summit County Health Department for an inspection.
The McDonald's, located at 390 W. Market St., will be closed until the inspection has been completed. Customers can contact the location to find out when it will reopen.
