Akron firefighters battled a house fire early Thursday on 23rd Street SW.
According to firefighters on scene no one was home at the time of the fire.
Neighbors said the owner isn't staying at the home very often.
The fire tore through the home between Florida and Harpster Avenues and damaged much of the interior.
Arson investigators were at the scene to begin an investigation into the cause.
