A homeless man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly robbed a CVS in Akron.

William L. Coffman, 37, was charged with aggravated robbery.

Coffman entered the CVS at 590 East Market St. at around 8 p.m. and gave a store employee a note that said he had a gun and to hand over money, authorities said. Coffman was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then ran off.

Coffman was later located at Grace Park near the railroad tracks and taken into custody, authorities said. Coffman, who police say is homeless, was transported to the Summit County Jail, according to authorities.

Coffman is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 12.
