Akron police said they are investigating the death of a 7-month-old baby boy on Thursday.
At around 3:30 p.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 400 block of West Miler Avenue for a report of an unresponsive child.

The baby was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The Summit County Medical Examiner confirmed they have been notified.
Officers and the medical examiner said the circumstances of the baby’s death are under investigation.
