Akron police along with the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man.
On Tuesday morning around 12:45 a.m., police were called to a residence on the 700 block of Garfield Street in Akron.

When officers arrived at the scene, Shawn Belville was found on the porch with an apparent stab wound to the chest.
Belville was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:18 a.m. Monday.
Officers arrested Crystal Bruce, 33, of Garfield Street, charging her with murder, tampering with evidence and illegal cultivation of drugs.
Bruce told police she was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim prior to her stabbing him.
She was booked into the Summit County Jail.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest.
