A man was arrested after trying to throw his girlfriend out of a window at knifepoint.
According to Canton police, Lonnie Ray Piatt held a knife to the back of his girlfriend's neck and attempted to throw her out of a second story window on Tuesday.
When officers arrived at his apartment to check on the victim's welfare, Piatt fought with officers. He was arrested at the scene and was charged with felonious assault, obstructing official business, domestic violence and resisting arrest.
He is due in court Friday morning at 9 a.m.
