AKRON, Ohio — A 30-year-old man has been arrested after a 21-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon on Akron’s Southeast side.
Police said they found the man with multiple gunshot wounds in the backyard of a home in the 500 block of Spicer Street around 12:30 p.m., according to police.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The shooting stemmed from an argument the victim and the shooter had, authorities said.
After the shooting, police arrested a 30-year-old man in the 800 block of East Exchange Street. Police said they have identified De'Jon Cash, 30, of Akron, as a potential suspect. He has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Cash is currently being held in the Summit County Jail.
No additional information has been released.
