AKRON, Ohio — A 14-year-old boy was arrested Thursday around midnight for allegedly robbing a man in Akron.
The 23-year-old victim told officers that he was walking with a friend near Allyn and East Exchange streets when a teen on a bicycle rode up and threatened him with a handgun, according to authorities.
After ordering the man to empty his pockets, the teen grabbed the man's belongings and fled the area.
Police later found a person matching the teen’s description while searching the area, authorities said. The teen admitted committing the robbery to officers and police were able to recover the victim's belongings.
