LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, Oho — A 39-year-old motorcyclist from Dalton, Ohio was hospitalized Friday night following a crash in Stark County and authorities believe alcohol may have contributed to the incident, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before midnight on State Route 93 in Lawrence Township.
The man was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson Custom motorcycle southbound when he went off the side of the road into a ditch and was ejected from the bike, authorities said.
According to OSHP, the man sustained serious incapacitating injuries in the crash. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Troopers said the man was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to have played a factor in the crash.
The matter remains under investigation.
