An officer and two civilians were injured in a crash on Kenmore Boulevard near 19th Street, the Akron Police Department detective bureau reported.
A police cruiser was involved in the accident, which was reported shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Police said the vehicle the civilians were in flipped over, but all involved in the crash only sustained minor injuries. The officer received a minor hand injury.
Authorities asked the public to avoid the area. Ramps for I-76 eastbound were closed before 6 p.m. Tuesday due to the crash.
