AKRON, Ohio — One person is dead following a crash in Akron Wednesday evening.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on the All-American Bridge, according to Akron police.
Ronnie Burney, 60, of Akron, was heading south on the bridge in a 2003 Ford Econoline van when he lost control, swerved and hit a concrete barrier, police said.
Burney was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, he wasn’t wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
