An Akron landlord allegedly shot a man in his building Monday afternoon after the two had an altercation, according to Akron police.

Officers responded to the shooting on Oakdale Avenue around 4:30 p.m. and said they found the 21-year-old victim from Dawes Avenue on the tree lawn — the area Akron officials call the devil strip — with gunshot wounds to his abdomen, chest and buttocks.

The victim was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General. Authorities said he is in serious condition.

The suspect, Jeffrey Musilli, 65, was taken into custody and charged with felonious assault, Akron police said. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.
