AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating after a resident reported her home was struck by gunfire early Sunday morning.
Police responded to the 1100 block of Kinzie Avenue at around 3:40 a.m. for reports of shots fired.
A 34-year-old resident who was inside her home said her house was struck by gunfire.
Police canvassed the property where they found shell casings and bullet holes.
The resident was not injured and no arrests have been made, police said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
