A toddler is expected to survive after her mom reportedly backed over her with a car in their Canton driveway Sunday.
According to Canton Police Lt. Lisa Broucker, the toddler was run over around 3 p.m. at a home in the 1300 block of 19th Street NE.
The one-and-a-half-year-old baby was transported to Mercy Medical Center and then taken to Akron Children's Hospital.
Lt. Broucker told newsnet5.com she is in stable condition and is scheduled for surgery Monday.
Police are still trying to figure out how the girl got behind the vehicle.
No charges have been filed.
