Road closures are planned ahead of the Akron Rubber City Race Series this weekend.
The series includes the Akron marathon, half-marathon and team relay.
The road closures start Friday at 6 p.m., when South Main Street between State and Bowery streets close. Then, at 6:30 p.m., South Main Street will close between West Exchange and State streets.
At 7 p.m., East Butchel Avenue will close between High and South Main streets and South High Street will close between East Butchel and University avenues.
