Akron police arrested two men after a short pursuit early Thursday morning on Virginia Avenue.
Police said they attempted a traffic stop on the car for reckless operation when the driver took off on two flat tires.
The chase only lasted a minute or two when the driver and passenger jumped out and ran near the intersection of Virginia and Eller avenues.
One of the suspects ran out of his shoes but both were quickly caught and arrested by Akron police officers.
The car had Maryland license plates. Police were not sure if it had been stolen.
During a search, officers found a large amount of cash and some marijuana hidden inside of a plastic container inside the car.
Both men were taken to the Summit County Jail and face numerous charges.
