A 36-year-old Akron resident was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning by two men on the city's southwest side.
The robbery happened on the 900 block of West Wilbeth Road shortly after midnight.
According to Akron police, the victim was approached from behind by two unknown men and then pistol-whipped. The men then took a U-Haul truck belonging to the victim and drove off.
Authorities said the victim wasn't seriously injured in the assault. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the suspects.
The U-Haul is described as a 2011 Ford E-450 with the Arizona license plate AE20969.
