AKRON, Ohio — A 70-year-old woman was robbed Tuesday morning after a man she was having a conversation with grabbed her purse and ran off.
According to police, the incident happened in the 900 block of Kenmore Boulevard around 8 a.m.
The woman told responding officers that she was sitting near the front door of her apartment when she was approached by a man. The two then struck up a conversation, but during their dialogue the man grabbed the woman's purse and fled.
According to the police, the purse had the woman's cell phone and other documents in it.
A detailed description of the robber was not provided.
