Authorities have arrested two people who are accused of making meth in the Alliance and Smith Township areas.
Officials said Steven Guildoo, 42, and Tanya Sudimak, 23, were arrested on N. Webb Avenue and accused of the illegal assembly of precursors for manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, identity theft and active arrest warrants during an SIU investigation.
The pair were stopped by detectives and found to possess numerous boxes of pseudoephedrine, the main ingredient used to make meth, in addition to heroin, drug syringes, and a fake ID used to buy more pseudoephedrine and bypass state monthly limits on the purchases of the controlled drug.
SIU detectives secured a search warrant in Mahoning County for Guildoo's residence located at 9122 Bandy Rd, North Benton.
At that residence, Alliance SIU Detectives and Smith Twp officers Chief Siranovic and Ptl Baker said they found chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, evidence of methamphetamine production and Heroin and Methamphetamine prepared for sale.
The Mahoning County MVLETF unit responded to assist and clean up the old meth lab chemicals from the scene.
