CLEVELAND — Cleveland police responded to a crash at the intersection of Woodhill Road and Woodland Avenue Wednesday morning.
Police said at around 2 a.m. a 29-year-old man was operating a GMC Yukon at a high rate of speed on Woodland Avenue when he attempted to turn onto Woodhill Road.
The Yukon crashed into another vehicle, and the driver of the Yukon was ejected from the vehicle, police said.
The Yukon then collided with another vehicle, which then damaged a third vehicle. A pedestrian in the area at the time of the crash was injured from flying debris.
Police confirmed the Yukon driver was transported to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
The intersection was previously closed for accident reconstruction.
The identity of the crash victim has not yet been released.
