Authorities are investigating after a 13-year-old boy was struck by a car on West 25th Street and Clark Avenue around 7:50 p.m. Saturday evening.
Cleveland EMS transported the boy to MetroHealth in serious condition.
The boy was believed to have been riding his bike across the intersection when he was struck.
News 5 was on scene when a male who is believed to have been driving the vehicle that struck the boy was taken into custody.
Cleveland police have not yet released any information about the suspect or the incident.
This is the second child struck by a vehicle in the city of Cleveland in the past week.

Fifteen-year-old David Bourne Jr. was the victim of a hit-skip accident on Wednesday when an unknown person struck him while he was crossing the street on East 89th Street and Union Avenue at 5:30 p.m.
Bourne later passed away from his injuries.
Cleveland Police Department are still looking for the driver of the vehicle.
