A 15-year-old boy is in serious condition after he was shot on Friday night, police said.

Witnesses told police the victim was engaged in gunfire with another male when he was shot on the 2300 block of Louise Harris Drive at around 8:30 p.m.

According to Cleveland Police, the 15-year-old was taken to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for a gunshot wound.

Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police said on Friday that the teen was shot in the leg and chest.
