CLEVELAND — A 19-year-old man, who was shot and killed in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood after a birthday party Thursday, has been identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.

Tylen D. Thomas, 19, of Cleveland, was found on the sidewalk of East 85th Street with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers performed first aid on Thomas until EMS arrived.

On Dec. 10, officers responded at around 11:45 p.m. to East 85th Street and Decker for shots fired.

Preliminary information revealed there was a birthday at a house in the 1400 block of East 86th Street, where an argument began, leading to multiple people being asked to leave.

Police said moments later, shots were heard outside the home.

A 38-year-old man was found shot in the leg on East 86th Street and a 26-year-old man was found in the 7500 block of Decker with a gunshot wound to his leg and arm.

All three victims were taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where Thomas was pronounced dead and the other two victims remain.

No arrests have been made and police said no witnesses were forthcoming.

The homicide remains under investigation.
